about emma
emma is an experienced nutritional therapist, behaviour change expert, trainer and practitioner in eating disorders. She has worked with clients with eating disorders for 10 years, and is an experienced educator, supervisor and mentor of practitioners working in this field. She is also a guest lecturer on this topic and has lectured at various universities and training providers. She has also delivered BANT webinars on nutrition and eating disorders, health psychology and behavioural science.
Emma is now finishing her doctoral research in body image and eating disorder interventions. She successfully uses a combined approach of nutritional, behavioural and psychological interventions; an approach which has been shown to be effective with this client group. She runs a multidisciplinary practice to help clients to restore a positive relationship with food.

This course is designed for nutritional therapists, nutritionists, dietitians, and other health professionals who want to support clients with body image concerns, distress and dissatisfaction. Trainee practitioners are also welcome. It is open to those practitioners with and without specialist eating disorder training.

No. You’ll learn everything you need during the course. The content is grounded in psychological theory but translated into practical tools that fit within a nutrition professional’s scope of practice. Psychological approaches will be introduced in an accessible, step-by-step way. No previous experience required.

This course is for qualified nutritional therapists only. But we are on a mission to make eating disorder training for nutritional therapists accessible to all practitioners so if you're still training, get in touch with us here and we can add you to our priority list for future courses

No. This course does not replace specialist training such as Nutritional Therapy for Eating Disorders (NTED) Advanced Practitioner Programme.
However, it will significantly enhance your confidence and competence when supporting clients who experience body image distress within your current scope. It is also an excellent complement to NTED or specialist eating disorder training. -
The training runs live over two interactive days (19th and 20th February), online via Zoom. Expect teaching, reflective exercises, and small-group discussions.
