Are you a nutrition practitioner who has completed specialist training to work in eating disorders and are looking to adapt your clinical practice to best suit these clients? Been practising with this client group for a while but not feeling confident? Delivered over 6 months, this programme will give you a deep dive into the professional and clinical features of how to work with this client group. It will showcase tried, tested and evidence-based methods and approaches that work to restore a clientโ€™s positive and balanced relationship with food. The programme has been designed to increase your confidence, skills and expertise needed to work with this challenging but rewarding client group.


key features OF THE PROGRAMME

6 MONTH PROGRAMME

Using a combination of recorded and live sessions, each month will focus on a different topic and include activities so you can apply your learning to your practice right away.

essential elements

Topics include: building a new clinical process (e.g., discovery calls, intake forms, food diaries), assessment & formulation, fundamentals of practice, interventions (nutritional & behavioural), supervision and multidisciplinary working.

blend of nutrition & psychology

Using evidence-based approaches from both nutrition and psychology to add to your practitioner toolkit. To understand where and when to use these tools effectively and safely.

clinical supervision

Access to monthly group supervision sessions designed to provide clinical support for eating disorders & disordered eating cases.

practical resources

Access to ready to use and tried and tested tools, templates and processes to use in your clinical practice.

cpd

This programme equates to 60 CPD hours (BANT approval in progress).


about emma

Emma is an experienced nutritional therapist, behaviour change expert and eating disorder practitioner. She has worked with clients with eating disorders for seven years, and is an experienced supervisor and mentor of practitioners working in this field. She also guest lectures on this topic including co-delivering the Nutritional Interventions in Eating Disorders module for the National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED). She has also delivered BANT webinars on nutrition and eating disorders, health psychology and behavioural science. Emma successfully uses a combined approach of nutritional, behavioural and psychological interventions; an approach which has been shown to be effective with this client group.
